Dental prostheses

If several or all of the teeth in a jaw is missing, a dental prosthesis could be the right solution. A complete dental prosthesis replaces a toothless jaw completely, while a partial dental prosthesis replaces any missing teeth and attaches firmly to remaining teeth.

It is very important both partial and complete prostheses be taken out for daily cleaning. This is to avoid irritation of the mucous membranes and to prevent infections and fungus. Patients with prostheses also need to come in for regular check-ups and adjustments to ensure that the prosthesis is functioning optimally.
